Premiere_Disk2 is one of those Amiga games that just oozes charm. You play as a studio exec (or maybe a fed-up intern?) trying to recover stolen film reels from rival studios. The cool part? Each stolen reel is hidden in a different movie genre's set—so one minute you're jumping through a black-and-white slapstick comedy with pie-throwing goons, the next you're dodging aliens in a cheesy sci-fi level.
The platforming feels classic, but what really sticks with me are the little details: the way enemies in the cartoon level make ridiculous faces when they spot you, or how the Wild West section has those rickety swinging saloon doors. And just when you think it's all jumping and collecting, bam—suddenly you're in a minecart chase or a side-scrolling shooter segment between levels. It's like the game keeps changing the channel on you.
Weapons are hidden backstage (naturally), and half the fun is figuring out which ones work best against which genre's baddies. That sci-fi laser? Useless against the cartoon villains, but perfect for aliens. The whole thing feels like someone mashed up a platformer with a love letter to B-movies.
