Play Puzzle Boy (Japan) Online
You play as a sad little potato pushing crates around, trying not to get stuck—watching him crumple in defeat never gets old. Starts easy, then suddenly you're sweating over every move.

Puzzle Boy came out for the Game Boy in 1990, developed by Atlus. It was part of that early wave of handheld puzzle games, simple in concept but built to keep you occupied during long trips or between classes. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, just offered a solid, portable challenge.
You control a small character who pushes blocks across single-screen stages, aiming to clear a path to the exit. The main objective is to solve each layout by moving crates onto specific floor switches; do it right and the door opens. The mechanics are straightforward: you can only push, not pull, and getting a block stuck in a corner often means restarting the stage. The difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding careful planning as later puzzles leave almost no room for error. It feels satisfying to finally nudge that last crate into place after several failed attempts.
