Play Race Drivin' on sega Online
Pick a car, hit the gas, and wrestle with that weird physics engine—you’ve got three wild tracks to survive, from stunt jumps to tight corners, all while racing the clock. It’s janky, but in that way old Sega racers just are.

Race Drivin' came out on the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed by Atari Games. It was a port of the arcade cabinet, and on the Genesis it was one of those early polygonal racers that tried to push the hardware, sitting alongside other ambitious but technically limited 3D experiments of the era.
You control a low-polygon car from a first-person perspective, steering through a series of stunt-filled tracks against a strict timer. The main objective is simply to finish each course without running out of time or crashing too severely. Signature mechanics include a manual stick shift that requires precise timing, a physics model that makes the car feel heavy and prone to wild spins, and stunt jumps that demand careful speed management. The pacing is relentless and the difficulty is high, often feeling unforgiving. It feels like constantly fighting the controls just to stay on the road.
