Rally Bike came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, published by Taito. You control a motocross rider, navigating through maze-like tracks filled with rival bikers, obstacles, and your constantly depleting fuel gauge. Key mechanics include weaving through tight, screen-by-screen layouts, ramming competing riders off the road, and collecting fuel cans dropped by a support helicopter to keep going. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty comes from managing your limited resources while the track tries to wreck you. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble to the finish line.
