Rampage: Puzzle Attack is one of those weirdly addictive GBA puzzle games that somehow mixes block-matching with the classic Rampage monsters. You’re basically shuffling colored blocks—red, blue, green, yellow—and dropping them two at a time to clear the field. The twist? Those special Detoblocks that look different—land one on the right color, and boom, whole chunks vanish.
There’s a surprising amount of variety here. Clear mode is straightforward (just wipe the board), but Puzzle mode makes you think ahead with limited drops. Marathon’s the endless one where you’ll inevitably panic as the blocks creep higher. My favorite’s Rescue Mode—you’re freeing the actual Rampage monsters (Lizzie, George, Ralph) from cages by clearing blocks above them, which feels oddly satisfying.
Multiplayer’s where it gets chaotic, especially Attack mode—every block you clear dumps onto your opponent’s screen. Nothing like sabotaging a friend while they yell at you. It’s not the deepest puzzle game, but the Rampage theme gives it a weird charm. If you’ve got a GBA and a puzzle itch, this one’s a solid time-waster.
