Rampage: Puzzle Attack came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, published by Midway Games. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles that tried to bring arcade style concepts into a portable, puzzle focused format. Instead of controlling the monsters directly like in the classic Rampage games, this one flipped the concept into a block matching puzzle.
You control a cursor to swap colored blocks, aiming to create matches and clear the board. The main objective is to drop Detoblocks strategically; these special blocks cause large explosions when matched, clearing huge sections and freeing the giant monsters trapped beneath the playfield. You work screen by screen, under time pressure, with the pace picking up significantly in later stages. It feels like a race against chaos, trying to set off the biggest chain reactions before the timer runs out.
