Rat Trap_DiskA came out on the Amiga in 1991. It was a puzzle game from a time when the platform was full of creative, often quirky titles that tried new things. You don't hear about it much now, but it had a clear idea and stuck to it.

You control a little exterminator tasked with clearing out maze-like rooms of rats. Your main tool is a limited supply of traps; you place cheese to bait them and then set down electric tiles or other devices along their predicted paths to zap them. The challenge is in anticipating the swarm's movement and using your resources efficiently before you're overrun. The pacing is tense, the difficulty ramps up quickly, and it feels satisfying to watch a well-laid plan eliminate an entire wave at once.
