Rat Trap_DiskA is one of those weird little Amiga games that feels like it was made in someone’s basement—in the best way possible. You control this tiny rat scurrying through maze-like levels, dodging traps and collecting cheese while ominous synth music hums in the background. The controls are janky in that classic early '90s way, but once you get used to the slidey momentum, it’s weirdly satisfying to thread through tight gaps just before a trap snaps shut.

The pixel art has this grimy charm, like someone spilled coffee on the sprites and just rolled with it. And the levels get devious fast—one wrong move and you’re rat pancake. But hey, at least the respawn is instant. You’ll either rage-quit or end up weirdly obsessed with beating that one stupid corridor full of spinning blades.

It’s not polished, but that’s kinda the point. If you miss the era of games that didn’t hold your hand, this one’s a time capsule.
