Download Rectangle_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
Control a paddle to shoot and transform falling Tetris-like blocks into complete rectangles. Features power-ups, 3 levels per world, and password saves. 1991 Amiga action game.
Game Overview
Rectangle is this weird little Amiga gem that mashes up Quarth and Arkanoid in a way that shouldn’t work but totally does. You’re stuck at the bottom of the screen with this tiny character, shooting up at falling Tetris-style blocks—except instead of clearing lines, you’re trying to complete rectangles by filling in the gaps. Sounds simple until you realize some blocks cycle through power-ups, and if you time it right, you can grab bonuses like one-shot block clears or even turn into a Breakout paddle for a few seconds.
The worlds each have three levels with their own visual style, and honestly, some of the later ones get brutal. At least you get a six-digit code after beating a world so you don’t have to start from scratch every time. The whole thing has that early ‘90s charm where the mechanics are just slightly janky in a way that makes it more fun, not less. If you’ve got an Amiga emulator lying around, it’s worth a few rounds just for the weirdness factor.
