Download Rectangle_Disk2 ROM – Amiga Game
Action game (1991, Amiga). Shoot falling Tetris-like blocks to form rectangles and clear them. Includes power-ups and 3 levels per themed world. Progress saved via unlock codes.
Game Overview
Rectangle_Disk2 is this weird little Amiga gem that mashes up Quarth and Arkanoid in a way that shouldn’t work but totally does. You’re stuck at the bottom of the screen with this tiny character, dodging falling Tetris-style blocks while shooting projectiles that turn into little squares on impact. The trick? You’ve gotta box in those floating shapes to form complete rectangles—clear enough of them, and you’re onto the next level.
Some blocks hide power-ups that cycle through different effects, like one-shot kills or turning your character into a Breakout paddle for a few seconds. The first time I triggered the bat-and-ball mode, I completely whiffed my shots and died immediately—takes some getting used to. Every three levels, the visuals shift (desert, space, etc.), and you get a password to save your progress. It’s simple, but those power-ups keep the gameplay from feeling stale.
Honestly, half the fun is seeing how long you can survive once the blocks start dropping faster.
