Game Overview
Roadwar 2000 drops you into a grimy, lawless version of the year 2000 where highways are basically war zones. You lead a gang—slightly less awful than the others, I guess—on an FBI mission to track down scientists who might save what’s left of civilization. The world’s a mess: mutants, cannibals, and rival gangs all want a piece of you.
At first, I just threw my crew into cars and went full Mad Max on everyone, ramming and shooting my way through fights. But then I realized boarding enemy vehicles was way more satisfying—nothing like hijacking a rival’s ride mid-battle. The combat’s simple but brutal, and figuring out who to arm with crossbows versus guns actually matters. It’s one of those games where you start off reckless and end up weirdly tactical.
If you like your strategy games with a side of highway chaos, this one’s got that weird old-school charm.
