Robot Wars: Advanced Destruction came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Crawfish Interactive. It was part of that early GBA wave of licensed games trying to capture the chaotic fun of the TV show. You got to build and fight robots in small, isometric arenas, which felt like a solid technical feat for a handheld at the time.
You control a robot from a top-down perspective, moving it around enclosed arenas to smash your opponent. The main goal is to disable the other robot by destroying its armor or flipping it over. You can use a variety of weapons, like spinning saws and pneumatic flippers, and the game emphasizes customizing your robot's chassis and weapon loadout before each match. The pacing is fast and destructive, with parts flying off on nearly every hit. It feels scrappy and immediate, like a quick brawl between two machines barely held together.
