Play Rockman EXE 5 : Team of Blues Online
Explore the real world as Lan, then switch to MegaMan to battle viruses and enemy Navis using strategic chip selection in this action-packed RPG.
Rockman EXE 5: Team of Blues came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Capcom. It was part of the later wave of GBA titles, arriving when the handheld was well established but still a few years from the DS era. The game continued the Mega Man Battle Network series, focusing on Lan and his NetNavi MegaMan as they navigated a world split between physical and digital spaces.
You control Lan in the real world and MegaMan on the internet grid, switching between exploration and tactical combat. Your main goal is to stop a cyber-terrorist group by battling through network areas and uncovering their plans. The combat uses a hybrid real-time and turn-based system where you select Battle Chips from a custom folder, aiming to delete viruses or enemy Navis with well-timed attacks. A key feature is the ability to form a team with other Navis like ProtoMan and GyroMan, each bringing unique abilities to fights and navigation. The pacing is brisk, with frequent random encounters and some challenging boss fights that demand strategic chip selection. It feels satisfying to build a versatile team and outmaneuver opponents on the grid.
