Play Rollerball Online
NES pinball with two wild modes: solo vertical madness (Skyscraper) and cutthroat 2-player duels (Matchplay). Way more fun than it looks.
Rollerball came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed by HAL Laboratory. It was a time when developers were experimenting with different takes on familiar concepts, and this game was their spin on pinball, pushing the hardware to do something a bit different from the standard tables.
You control the flippers in two distinct game modes. In the single-player Skyscraper mode, you work your way up a tall, vertical board, hitting targets to open doors to the next floor while dodging enemies that can steal your ball. The two-player Matchplay mode is a competitive duel on a horizontal table where you try to score points while sabotaging your opponent's flippers. The game moves fast, and the physics demand precise timing, making every shot feel critical. It's a tense, reactive experience that keeps you leaning forward.
