If you played the first Romance of the Three Kingdoms on Amiga, this sequel feels familiar but way less frustrating. They fixed the worst part—generals dropping dead from random illnesses like flies—so you can actually plan long-term without your best officers keeling over mid-battle.
Time moves slower now, which is great because you’re not constantly scrambling to replace half your army. The whole thing feels more deliberate, like Nobunaga’s Ambition II but with all those warlords from Chinese history you either love or vaguely recognize. The interface is cleaner too, though good luck explaining the supply mechanics to anyone watching over your shoulder.
Still one of the better strategy games from that era if you’ve got the patience for it.
