At first glance it looks basic—tiny sprites, menus in Japanese—but there's something weirdly addictive about shuffling officers between cities or baiting enemy forces into ambushes. I kept thinking "just one more turn" while my bus stop sailed past. The indie dev clearly loved the old Koei games, because it's got that same "wait, why is it 3 AM?" energy.
Fair warning: the translation's rough in spots, and you'll need to trial-and-error some mechanics.
