Scapeghost came out on the Amiga in 1989 from Level 9 Computing. You control a spectral entity, moving screen by screen through three distinct scenarios: a graveyard, a haunted house, and a poltergeist-infested location. Your main objective is to solve environmental puzzles and uncover the story behind each area. Your primary tools are psychic powers, like eavesdropping on the thoughts of the living or manipulating objects from a distance. The pacing is deliberate, focused on observation and experimentation rather than combat. It feels like being an invisible detective, piecing together clues that only a ghost could find.
