This one's a classic Amiga RPG based on the German tabletop game "Das Schwarze Auge" (The Dark Eye). You start off with a party of adventurers—typical fantasy stuff, warriors, mages, the works—but the combat system's surprisingly deep for its time. The pixel art has that charming late-80s look, all chunky sprites and moody colors.
First thing you'll notice? The German text everywhere. Even if you don't speak it, the menus are intuitive enough to stumble through. I remember spending way too long in the starting town just clicking on everything, trying to figure out which NPC actually had a quest for me. The dungeon crawling feels satisfyingly old-school—none of this hand-holding modern RPG stuff.
