Game Overview
Scorpio is one of those classic Amiga shooters where you're dodging bullets and blasting enemy formations while scrolling upward—simple, but surprisingly tough. The first level throws waves of ships at you, and if you wipe out an entire formation, they drop these little power-up capsules. Grabbing one might give you a spread shot or a satellite drone, which helps when things get chaotic.
Lose a life, though, and you're sent back to the start of the stage, no checkpoints. Extra ships come from hitting score thresholds, so you’re always balancing risk and reward. The rapid fire’s a nice touch—no button mashing needed—and the four difficulty levels mean you can ease in or just get wrecked immediately. It’s the kind of game where you’ll retry the same stage five times just to nail that perfect run.
