Play Scotland Yard (Japan) Online
Play as Mr. X dodging detectives with fake clues or hunt him down across London—every move’s a gamble, especially when you’re down to your last ferry ticket. That tiny Game Boy screen somehow makes the cat-and-mouse tension even worse (in a good way).

Scotland Yard on the Game Boy is a portable adaptation of the classic board game, released in 1990 by Tomy. It arrived during a period when many tabletop and strategy games were finding a new home on handheld systems, offering a different kind of thoughtful experience compared to the platformers and action titles that dominated the platform.
You control either the elusive Mr. X or a team of detectives hunting him across a map of London. The main objective is simple: catch Mr. X if you're a detective, or evade capture until your moves run out if you're the fugitive. The game's signature mechanics involve planning routes using London's transportation network (the Underground, buses, and ferries) and Mr. X's ability to leave behind fake clues to misdirect the pursuers. The pacing is deliberate, demanding careful strategy with each turn, and the difficulty ramps up as the detectives close in. It feels like a tense game of hide and seek where every decision carries weight.
