Game Overview
Remember that old SeaQuest DSV show from the 90s? This Sega Genesis game puts you right in that world as a UEO officer. You start off in a training sim (which honestly feels a bit like boot camp), but once you pass, you're assigned to the actual seaQuest submarine.
Most of the game has you piloting different underwater vehicles to complete missions—rescuing people, disarming bombs, or just exploring the deep. The cool part? You've got a whole fleet of subs to choose from, each with its own quirks. The Speeder's fast but fragile, the Sea Crab moves like a tank but can drill through wreckage, and Darwin the dolphin (yes, the mascot from the show) can squeeze into tight spots but can't fight back. Mess up a mission, and you'll lose funding for repairs and upgrades, so there's actual stakes.
It's not perfect—some of the controls feel clunky now—but if you were into the show or just love underwater exploration games, it's a neat little time capsule. Just watch out for those depth charges.
