Yeah, it’s not the biggest collection, but who cares when you’re bouncing through Green Hill Zone or smashing skeletons with a battle axe during your commute?

The ports aren’t perfect (the screen’s smaller, obviously), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about playing these on a GBA. Columns is still weirdly hypnotic, and Golden Axe feels just as clunky and charming as you remember. It’s the kind of thing you pop in when you’ve got 10 minutes to kill and end up playing for an hour.

No fancy extras, no remastered graphics—just three classics that still hold up. If you miss blowing into cartridges, this’ll hit the spot.
