Game Overview
Shadow Man on N64 is one of those weird, dark gems that sticks with you. You play as this voodoo-powered guy who can flip between the land of the living and the dead—which sounds cool until you realize the dead side is full of nightmare fuel. At first, I kept dying in the living world (guns don’t help much when everything wants to eat you), but then you respawn in the dead world as this supernatural badass with ghost bullets and creepy magic. The switch between worlds actually matters—some puzzles need you to hop back and forth, and the atmosphere shifts from eerie to full-on hellscape real quick.
Your inventory’s a mess of voodoo relics and weird weapons, and half the fun is figuring out which cursed thing works on which monster. The story’s bonkers—you’re racing to stop five serial killers from triggering the apocalypse, because of course you are. It’s janky in that classic N64 way, but the moody visuals and dual-world gimmick make it worth the clunky controls. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
