Play Shark Tale Online
You bluff your way through the reef as Oscar, dodging sharks, pulling off ridiculous dance moves, and hitching rides on seahorses between jellyfish chases and mobster shark hideouts. The whole thing’s got that early 2000s cartoon charm—silly, colorful, and way more fun than a movie game should be.

I picked up Shark Tale for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a time when licensed games were everywhere. It was developed by Vicarious Visions, who did a lot of solid handheld work back then. The game is based on the animated movie, so it has that specific early 2000s look and feel, all bright colors and exaggerated characters. It fits right in with other platformers of that era, nothing groundbreaking, but it has its own silly energy.
You play as Oscar, a little fish with big dreams and an even bigger mouth. The goal is to bluff your way to the top of the reef by completing various missions, which usually involve running errands for the local sea life or outsmarting the mobster sharks. You swim through different areas, avoiding enemies, collecting pearls, and pulling off rhythm-based dance moves to impress other characters. The levels are broken into smaller screens with simple objectives, and the difficulty is pretty forgiving, aimed more at a younger audience. It feels light and fast, a bit like a Saturday morning cartoon you can control.
