Game Overview
Okay, so Shatterhand is this NES gem where you play as a cybernetic badass who punches everything—because his fists are literally his main weapon. No guns, no swords, just good old-fashioned knuckle sandwiches for hordes of creepy biomechanical enemies. At first I thought it'd get repetitive, but then I discovered the satellite robots.
See, when you smash certain white boxes, they drop these alpha-beta letters. Collect the right combo, and boom—you get one of eight floating robot buddies that shoot lasers, fireballs, or other wild stuff whenever you throw a punch. Some combos are way more useful than others (took me a few tries to figure out which ones actually help against bosses).
The levels are a wild tour through places you wouldn't expect—like a burning subway or an anti-gravity lab—and you can tackle most of them in any order. Just know that the final showdown in Grover's missile complex is no joke. Dude's got layers.
