Side Arms on the Amiga is one of those shooters that looks simple at first—just another spaceship blasting stuff—but then throws curveballs at you. You start with this tiny ship, weaving through waves of enemies, and suddenly you're grabbing power-ups that completely change your weapon setup. The first time I got the double laser, I thought I was unstoppable... until the screen filled with bullet patterns I had no idea how to dodge.

The graphics are bright and chunky in that classic Amiga way, and the soundtrack keeps the adrenaline up even when you're replaying the same section for the tenth time. Some of the later bosses feel like they take forever to beat, but when you finally crack their patterns, it's so satisfying. Just don't expect to finish it in one sitting unless you're way better at this than I am.
