SideShow_Disk2 came out in 1989 for the Amiga, developed by Actionware Corporation. It was part of a wave of light gun games that tried to bring the arcade experience home, using the platform's graphical capabilities to deliver colorful, responsive targets. Unlike many shooters of the time, it focused entirely on carnival style attractions, offering a compact but varied set of challenges.

You control a targeting reticle with the light gun, working through eight distinct mini games like popping balloons, throwing knives at spinning targets, and testing your strength with a mallet. The main objective is simply to score as many points as possible across each attraction, with some games demanding precision and others timing. Two notable mechanics are the use of the InterActor device to insert a photo of yourself into the game, and the way some targets move in unpredictable patterns to keep you alert. The pacing is quick, with short rounds that make it easy to jump in for a few minutes, though hitting the high scores requires steady aim and quick reflexes. It feels immediate and physical, like having a slice of the county fair right in your living room.
