Okay, so this is one of those weird NES games based on a random Simpsons joke—remember when Bart briefly pretended to be "Bartman" in that one episode? Well, someone decided to turn it into a full side-scroller where you jump around as Bart in a cape, throwing boomerangs and dodging... whatever those enemies are supposed to be.
It’s got that classic NES jank—hit detection is iffy, some levels drag on forever, and the whole "save Radioactive Man from the Limbo Zone" plot feels like it was written in five minutes. But there’s something oddly charming about how seriously it takes Bart’s dumb superhero fantasy. Also, Brain-O the Magnificent is a ridiculous final boss, and I mean that in the best way.
Not gonna lie, it’s more fun if you’re a Simpsons fan who appreciates deep-cut references. Otherwise, you might just wonder why you’re fighting giant floating brains in a purple void.
