Play Skeleton Krew (Europe) Online
Pick your undead merc, blast through mutant hordes with chunky shotgun kicks, and try not to get wrecked by the brutal difficulty spikes—pure '90s Genesis chaos.

Skeleton Krew came out in 1995 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Core Design. It was part of that wave of mid-90s action games that tried to push the hardware with fast, chaotic visuals and a darker tone. You don't hear about it as much as some other titles from that year, but it had a distinct look and feel that made it stand out.
You control one of three skeletal mercenaries, each with a unique primary weapon, and fight through screen after screen of mutants and robots. The main goal is to complete each mission by eliminating all enemies or destroying specific targets, often while navigating maze-like industrial environments. Key mechanics include swapping between three different weapon types on the fly (like a spread shot, homing missile, and flamethrower) and using a limited supply of screen-clearing smart bombs when overwhelmed. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is notoriously unforgiving, with enemy attacks coming from all directions and health pickups being scarce. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble for survival where one wrong move can end a run.
