Skeleton Krew came out in 1995 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Core Design. Key mechanics include swapping between three different weapon types on the fly (like a spread shot, homing missile, and flamethrower) and using a limited supply of screen-clearing smart bombs when overwhelmed. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is notoriously unforgiving, with enemy attacks coming from all directions and health pickups being scarce. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble for survival where one wrong move can end a run.
