Game Overview
Skitchin' is basically Road Rash on rollerblades, but somehow even more ridiculous—in the best way. You grab onto cars to slingshot yourself forward while kicking other skaters in the face. The controls take a second to get used to (timing those hit-and-release skitches is key), but once it clicks, you’re flying down highways dodging traffic and throwing elbows like it’s your job. The soundtrack’s all crunchy guitars and attitude, which fits perfectly when you’re barely staying upright at 50mph. Just don’t get too cocky—wipe out hard enough and you’ll ragdoll down the pavement in that classic Genesis "ouch" animation.
It’s janky, over-the-top, and exactly what you’d expect from EA in the ‘90s. I still hum the menu theme sometimes.
