Skitchin' came out on the Sega Genesis in 1994, published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that era where developers were pushing the hardware with fast, aggressive sports games, and this one took the concept of Road Rash and put it on rollerblades.
You control a skater on a busy highway, and the main goal is to win races by any means necessary. You latch onto passing cars to get a speed boost, which is the core "skitching" mechanic, and you can attack other racers with weapons like pipes and chains you pick up on the road. The game is brutally fast and unforgiving; a single crash or mistimed jump can ruin a race. It feels chaotic and frantic, a constant fight for momentum where every second is a struggle to stay in control.
