Game Overview

Skyfox puts you in the cockpit of a slick attack fighter—basically the coolest plane the Federation’s got—with a HUD that makes you feel like you’re actually flying the thing. The first time I played, I spent way too long just staring at the radar blips and adjusting shields before realizing enemy tanks were already rolling toward my base.

You’ve got lasers, missiles (both the lock-on and "hope this hits" varieties), and speed that’ll make your hair stand on end—just don’t forget to refuel between sorties. The mothership fights are brutal, especially on higher difficulty levels where one stray shot can leave you limping back to base with smoke pouring out of your engines. It’s one of those games where you’ll fail spectacularly at first, then suddenly pull off a perfect run and feel like a genius.

Also, docking never gets old—nailing that smooth landing while your shields are blinking red is weirdly satisfying.
