Play Soukoban 2 (Japan) Online

You push crates onto targets in tight spaces, then panic when you block yourself in—simple until you realize how deep the puzzle rabbit hole goes. That chunky Game Boy aesthetic just makes it harder to stay mad when you screw up.

Game Overview

Boxxle 2 (or Soukoban 2, depending on where you got it) is one of those deceptively simple Game Boy puzzlers—you just push crates around a grid, trying to get them onto marked spots. Sounds easy, right? Then you shove one into a corner by accident and realize you’ve softlocked yourself three moves ago.

The first few levels ease you in, but by stage 10 or so, you’ll be staring at the screen, mentally rewinding every move. Some layouts feel like sliding tile puzzles, others like mazes where the walls are the crates. The chunky pixel art and bleepy soundtrack are pure early Game Boy charm, though—no frills, just solid crate-pushing agony.

It’s the kind of game you play in short bursts, unless you’re the type who enjoys quietly raging at a 2x4 grid. I may or may not have reset a level 12 times yesterday.
