Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to save the universe by dancing, Space Channel 5: Ulala’s Cosmic Attack on GBA is your ticket. You play as Ulala—part space reporter, part disco queen—who has to out-dance alien invaders by copying their moves to the beat. It’s all "up, down, chu-chu-chu" with that weirdly addictive retro-future soundtrack.

The GBA version is obviously scaled down from the Dreamcast original, but it still nails the vibe. The colors pop, the music sticks in your head, and the rhythm gameplay is simple but surprisingly tricky when the aliens start throwing complex combos at you. I messed up a lot at first, but there’s something satisfying about finally nailing a sequence perfectly.

It’s short, quirky, and definitely not for everyone, but if you like rhythm games with personality, Ulala’s tiny adventure is worth a spin. Just don’t blame me when you’re humming the theme song for days.
