Spyro Adventures (EU) on the GBA feels like a stripped-down version of the console games, but it still has that familiar purple dragon charm. You glide through small, bite-sized levels, collecting gems and roasting enemies with fire breath. The controls are a little stiff compared to the PS1 games, but it works well enough for a handheld.
I remember getting stuck on one level where the camera angle made it hard to judge jumps. Took me a few tries to realize I had to glide at just the right moment. The colors pop on the GBA screen, though, and the music keeps that lighthearted adventure feel.
It's not the deepest Spyro experience, but if you're looking for a quick platformer fix on the go, Spyro Adventures (EU) gets the job done.
