Play SSX 3 Online
Pick a rider, hit the slopes, and wipe out a few times until you’re pulling off ridiculous mid-air spins between trees. The GBA version’s got that same frantic SSX energy—just crammed into your pocket.

SSX 3 on the GBA is basically a pocket-sized version of the wild snowboarding chaos you’d expect—just with more pixels and a lot of button-mashing. You start by picking your rider (I always went with Mac because his stats felt balanced) and then it’s straight to the mountain. The controls take a second to get used to—hold A to crouch for speed, tap B for tricks—but once you’ve wiped out a few times, it clicks.
There’s a surprising amount to do here for a handheld game. Race down icy slopes, hit absurd air in the half-pipe, or just explore the backcountry areas looking for hidden shortcuts. The rivalries actually feel tense, especially when you’re neck-and-neck near the finish line. And yeah, the graphics are obviously simpler than the console versions, but the sense of speed? Still totally there.
If you’ve got a GBA and even a passing interest in snowboarding games, this one’s a solid time-killer. Just don’t expect it to replace the PS2 version.
