Game Overview
Stadium Games is one of those simple but weirdly addictive sports compilations for the GBA. You get six Olympic-style events—archery, javelin, football, pole vault, hammer throw, and my personal favorite, clay pigeon shooting. That last one feels oddly satisfying when you nail two targets with one shot.
Most events use those classic timing meters where you mash buttons to build power, then stop the needle in the sweet spot. It sounds basic, but nailing the rhythm for pole vault or hammer throw takes some practice. The football (soccer) minigame is the odd one out—more about quick reflexes than precision.
You can jump straight into any event in Practice mode, but Tournament mode is where it shines. Play solo or pass the GBA back and forth with a friend, racking up points across all six events. The high score table gives it that "one more try" pull when you’re just a few points short of beating your best.
It’s not the deepest sports sim, but it’s perfect for quick sessions when you want something light and competitive.
