Play Star Control Online
You pick from 16 wildly unbalanced spaceships—some turn like molasses, others spin-attack themselves into oblivion—then try not to explode in chaotic 1v1 dogfights. The campaign's there if you want strategy, but honestly? Just throw two black-hole-spewing ships at each other and see what happens.

Star Control on the Sega Genesis throws you into this wild space war between the Alliance of Free Stars and the ruthless Ur-Quan Hierarchy. At first, it feels like a lot—different ships, weird controls, all these menus—but after a few rounds, you start getting the hang of which ships handle like bricks and which ones actually turn when you want them to.
There’s Melee mode if you just want to blow stuff up (and honestly, who doesn’t?), where you pick from 16 ships, each with their own weird quirks. Some fire homing missiles, others have this ridiculous spinning attack that either wrecks everything or leaves you totally exposed. Or, if you’re feeling strategic, there are these preset scenarios that force you to think instead of just mashing buttons.
It’s one of those games where losing a ship feels like a personal insult, but nailing a perfect shot with a Chenjesu Broodhome makes up for it.
