Play Star Wars Episode I - Battle for Naboo (E) Online
You fly Naboo's weirdly nimble starfighters through lakes and canyons, dodging droid swarms before diving under capital ships to blast their weak points. Tank missions and on-foot bits mix it up between all the dogfights.

Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo came out on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, developed by Factor 5 and published by LucasArts. It was part of that late N64 era where developers were really pushing what the hardware could do, especially with audio and 3D environments. This one always felt like a companion piece to Rogue Squadron, another game from the same team, but it focused entirely on the events from The Phantom Menace.
You take on the role of a Naboo Royal Security Forces pilot, jumping between different vehicles and scenarios. Most of the game has you piloting a starfighter, engaging in dogfights over lakes and through canyons, but you also get missions driving a tank or even fighting on foot. The objectives are straightforward: protect transports, assault droid control ships, and generally push back the Trade Federation invasion. Two mechanics stand out: the need to frequently switch between primary and secondary weapons depending on the target, and the way certain missions require you to fly low and use the landscape for cover. The pacing is brisk, and some escort missions can be tough. It feels like a solid, action packed expansion of the movie's universe.
