Game Overview

Starcross is one of those Amiga games that makes you feel like you're really out there in the void. You're a lone miner in 2186, drifting through the asteroid belt in your rickety ship, hunting for quantum black holes that could make you rich—or get you killed. The first few minutes are all about that eerie quiet: watching the mass detector flicker, flipping through your ship's tiny library to pass the time, listening to the hum of engines until you doze off.

Then, of course, everything goes sideways. That alarm blaring? Not the payday you hoped for. Instead, you wake up staring down some massive alien ship that definitely wasn’t on your itinerary. The writing’s sharp, the atmosphere’s thick with isolation, and suddenly you’re not just a miner anymore—you’re in way over your head. Classic sci-fi with a slow burn that sticks with you.
