Starshot: Space Circus Fever came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, published by Infogrames. It was part of that experimental wave of 3D platformers on the system, games that weren't afraid to get a little weird with their concepts. You don't see many circus themed space adventures, but this one went for it.

You control Starshot, a lanky alien performer trying to save his circus from an evil overlord. The goal is to complete each stage by reaching the exit, which usually involves a mix of platforming, puzzle solving, and using a grappling hook to swing across gaps. The grappling hook is central; you aim and fire it at specific nodes to pull yourself around. You also collect star tokens to unlock new areas and use trampolines for big jumps. The pacing is uneven, with some sections demanding precise timing while others feel loose and unpredictable. It feels like a strange, ambitious game that doesn't always land its tricks but has a unique charm when it works.
