Starush is one of those Amiga shooters that tricks you into thinking it's straightforward—until you realize you've gotta play every level twice. You blast through fire, water, and whatever else worlds left-to-right, dodging bullets and wrecking a boss, then suddenly the screen flips. Now you're doing it all again backwards, with totally different enemy patterns and another big bad waiting at the end. Mess with your head much?
Your ship upgrades as you grab power-ups, but here's the kicker: your ride is your health. Take a hit, and you lose a weapon tier or speed boost. No extra lives either, so every mistake stings. The pixel art's chunky in that good Amiga way, and the music? Pure late-80s synth chaos. Just don't get too comfy when you finish a level—you're only halfway done.
