Starush_Disk2 is one of those Amiga shooters that sticks with you—mostly because it messes with your head in the best way. You start off blasting through levels left to right, dodging alien swarms and taking down bosses, just like any other horizontal shooter. But then, surprise—you flip around and do the whole thing backwards, with new enemies and another boss waiting. It’s like the game dares you to unlearn everything you just did.
Your ship upgrades as you collect symbols, but here’s the catch: your ride also acts as your health. Get hit, and you lose an upgrade level. No extra lives, either—just one shot to make it through. The elemental worlds (fire, water, etc.) give the levels some personality, though good luck admiring the scenery when you’re dodging bullets in reverse. It’s punishing but weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a run.
