Game Overview

Subtrade: Return to Irata is basically underwater M.U.L.E. with better graphics—same brilliant economic gameplay, but now you're farming fish and herding turtles across the ocean floor. The whole thing still hinges on that perfect mix of strategy and chaos, especially with three friends around the same keyboard (though the AI does an okay job if you're desperate).

Twelve rounds fly by as you bid on resources, sabotage each other's pearl harvests, and panic when the market crashes. The turtles are weirdly charming—until someone steals yours mid-auction. It's one of those games where alliances form and dissolve in the span of a single turn, and the person in last place might suddenly win because they hoarded all the seaweed.

If you've played M.U.L.E., you'll recognize the magic here. If you haven't, expect to lose a few rounds before realizing why everyone fights over the deep-sea mining rights.
