Play Subtrade - Return to Irata Online
You're a broke space trader dodging pirates and shady deals in a rusty ship, where every fuel miscalculation leaves you drifting helplessly between backwater stations. Prices swing wildly, that merchant you screwed over sends goons after you, and nothing ever goes as planned.
Subtrade: Return to Irata came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I've never been sure who actually developed it. It was one of those space trading sims that felt right at home in the era, sitting alongside titles that asked you to manage more than just firepower.
You pilot a small trading vessel, hopping between stations and planets to buy low and sell high while avoiding pirates and managing limited fuel. Your main goal is to earn enough credits to upgrade your ship and eventually uncover the mysteries of the Irata system. The game relies heavily on resource management, unpredictable market shifts, and navigating hazardous routes where a wrong move can leave you stranded. It moves at a deliberate, sometimes tense pace, and the difficulty comes from balancing risk against potential profit. Playing it feels like walking a tightrope where every jump could either make your fortune or end your run.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
