At first, I thought it was just another action RPG—until I spent an hour agonizing over whether to upgrade my flame sword for crowd control or focus on a piercing blade for the next boss.
The combat feels like a faster, slightly chaotic Zelda, but with way more weapon variety. You’ll start with basic swings, but later swords do things like summon lightning or leave trails of fire—and yeah, you’ll absolutely hoard materials "just in case" for that one dream weapon. The sequel polishes everything from the first game: smoother movement, less clunky menus, and way more reasons to revisit old areas when you finally unlock better crafting recipes.
It’s got that classic GBA charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and just enough story to keep you hooked without drowning in text. If you’ve got a soft spot for games where half the fun is grinding for gear, this one’s a blast.
