Super Bombliss is Tetris if Tetris had a rebellious little sibling who smuggled dynamite into the blocks. You're still dropping shapes, sure, but now half the fun comes from setting off chain reactions—watch one bomb go off and suddenly three rows vanish in a pixelated puff. The first time I played, I accidentally blew up half my own tower trying to be clever. Lesson learned.
It's got that same "just one more try" hook as classic Tetris, but with way more "oh no, that was NOT the plan" moments. The Game Boy's tiny screen somehow makes the explosions feel even more dramatic—like your entire world is collapsing in slow motion. And yeah, it's technically a puzzle game, but let's be honest: sometimes you just wanna see things go boom.
Originally a Japan-only release, this version somehow made it overseas intact. No idea how they convinced Nintendo that "Tetris with explosives" was a good idea, but I'm glad they did.
