Super Cars on NES is basically what would happen if someone took Super Sprint, gave it weapons, and added a weirdly satisfying haggling minigame. You start with a slow, clunky car and immediately get thrown into tight top-down tracks where scraping the walls feels inevitable at first.
The cool part? After each race (there are 36 total across different difficulties), you earn cash to upgrade your ride. I blew all my early winnings on missiles because, well, missilesโonly to realize my underpowered engine couldn't catch anyone to actually use them. Pro tip: balance speed and handling before going full weapon loadout.
Oh, and that shop system? Hilarious. The salesman gives you a ridiculous initial price, but if you pick the right sarcastic responses ("That's robbery!" worked for me), he'll actually knock the cost down. Feels like stealing, in a good way.
