Super Chase H.Q. on Game Boy is this weird little arcade-style racer where you’re a cop chasing down criminals—but it’s nothing like the SNES version, so don’t go in expecting that. You’ve got seven levels to tear through, each with a time limit ticking down while you dodge traffic and try not to crash (every bump shaves seconds off your clock).
When you finally catch up to the boss car, you either ram them to death or—if you’re lucky—use weapons you picked up earlier. Winning gets you points to upgrade your ride: better speed, handling, or attack power for those boss fights. There’s even a turbo button you can hit whenever, which feels great when you’re cutting it close. The manual/automatic transmission option is a nice touch, too.
It’s simple, a bit janky, but weirdly satisfying when you nail a perfect run. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this is pure arcade chaos.
