Super Monaco GP is that classic Genesis racer that still holds up surprisingly well. The handling feels weighty but responsive—not as twitchy as some arcade racers, but not full-on sim either.
What really stuck with me was the AI. Other drivers actually fight for position, block you, and make mistakes. Monaco’s tight turns are brutal at first, but nailing that perfect lap feels amazing. And yeah, the graphics were impressive for 1990—those digitized faces in the podium scenes still crack me up.
