Super TaeKwonDo Master for the Amiga is one of those old-school fighting games that feels both clunky and weirdly charming. You pick your fighter—some moves are way faster than others, so good luck figuring that out at first—and then it’s just you, a pixelated opponent, and a lot of awkwardly timed kicks. The controls take some getting used to, but once you land that first spinning back kick, it’s oddly satisfying. The music loops forever, and the backgrounds are about as basic as it gets, but there’s something about it that makes you want to try just one more round. Definitely a relic of its time, but not without its weird appeal.
