1996 Amiga 2D martial arts simulator. 1v1 duels or 3-6 player tournaments. Digitized fighters in multiple environments. Skill-based TaeKwondo combat with special moves. Compatible with AGA and non-AGA systems.
Super TaeKwonDo Master on the Amiga is one of those rare fighting games that actually makes you feel like you're throwing real kicks and punches. The digitized fighters look surprisingly good for the time, moving smoothly against those blocky CGI backgrounds—whether you're brawling in a dojo, some sketchy back alley, or even near a fuel depot (watch out for explosions, I guess?).
Forget fireballs or teleporting ninjas—this is straight-up, no-nonsense martial arts. You’ll need actual timing and strategy to land those spinning kicks or counterattacks, not just button mashing. The joystick combos take a minute to get used to, but once you nail them, it feels satisfyingly precise. And yeah, the regular version only worked on AGA systems, but this one runs on older Amigas too, which was a big deal back then.
Tournament mode’s the real highlight though—cramming up to six players into a chaotic elimination match is as fun as it sounds.
